Ari Ólafsson tem 19 anos. Competiu no The Voice Islândia em 2015 e fez parte do coro na seleção nacional da canção para o Eurovision Song Contest do ano passado. Mais recentemente, foi admitido na Royal Academy of Music in London com uma bolsa completa, onde irá continuar os seus estudos de canto no outono.
Desde sempre que Ari sonhou em representar o seu país neste concurso. Canta os mais variados géneros de música, desde clássico a pop, passando pelo rock e funk. O seu artista favorito é Stevie Wonder.
