Saara Aalto é uma das maiores estrelas da Finlândia. Ficou em segundo lugar no The Voice e no Got Talent e foi a voz da Princesa Anna da versão finlandesa de Frozen.
Saara conseguiu fama mundial quando participou no Factor X UK em 2016 e terminou em segundo lugar.
Para a cantora, o Eurovision Song Contest já se tinha tornado o sonho impossível. Ficou em segundo lugar nas duas vezes em que participou na seleção nacional para o concurso internacional: em 2011 ficou em segundo lugar com a canção Blessed With Love e em 2016 também terminou a competição em 2.º lugar com No Fear.
Em 2018, enquanto gravava o seu álbum de estreia, foi convidada para representar a Finlândia no Eurovision Song Contest. Aceitou e a sua canção Monsters foi escolhida pelo público.
