Synopsis

Luís Carlos returns from a 6-week trip to Boston where he has been researching for his master’s thesis on Superman, according to him, the greatest, if not the only, hero of all time.

But Luís Carlos is a loner, convinced that he has total control over his appetite for cocaine and, only when he allows himself, heroin.

When he arrives in Lisbon, he realizes that Superman is dead after all, according to the news.
For Luís Carlos, this could mean the end of his research and of his “promising” career as a university professor, where he could work at his own pace and ensure a comfortable salary. Despair settles into his life.
