Synopsis
Eça de Queiroz is appointed Consul to Havana by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. In Cuba – Spanish colony – the slavery lingers. About 100,000 Chinese workers are leaving China via Macao with Portuguese documents. Eça is sent to Havana with the task of trying to solve the problem of the Chinese who are treated as slaves in the sugar cane plantations. To help Lô, escaping from the slavery trading, a group of good people and freedom defenders join forces. While in Havana, Eça de Queiroz keeps his seductive skills untouched, and he lives a burning love with Mollie, a modern and passionate young woman who feels as comfortable at the poker table as in seduction games.
