Synopsis
Portugal was the last European country to leave the whaling industry.
The Azoreans, a small community of islanders, did not receive this decision very well. They wanted financial compensation but, without answers, they went back to the sea and hunted a few whales.
The world was horrified and a compensation fund was immediately canceled. It was a group of marine biology students from several European countries that implemented a strategy to convert the whale hunting into whale watchin.
