Synopsis

Algarve’s western coast, 1943. In the midst of world war II, Portugal declares neutrality, but in the isolated village of Aljezur, reality is very different.

German air raids on Allied ships near the coast spread fear among the population, still haunted by a past marked by witchcraft.

Celeste, a young orphan from a heretic family, is accused of being the heir to this evil that caused so many past tragedies.

Betrayed and exiled from the village, she sets out to uncover the truth about her parents’ death, her own identity, and to seek revenge against those who condemned her.

Meanwhile, the growing Nazi presence in the region hides dark secrets.

A story of mystery, superstition, and resistance to oppression, questioning the very malleable nature of truth.

 

First Episode: A warplane touches down in western Algarve, stirring old fears and a single, unspeakable question—could it be her?

Second Episode: A new priest awakens a dangerous urge to sing, while the specter of communism inflames a restless youth hungry for war.

Third Episode: A forbidden desire and a broken promise fracture the social order, setting off a desperate fight for survival.

Fourth Episode: Death arrives unannounced, shattering faith, seeding fear, and leaving the village drowning in fading hope.

Fifth Episode: A witch hunt begins, but as the past resurfaces, the hunted becomes the hunter, forging a new cycle from the ashes of the old.

Sixth Episode: Through crusades and rituals, reality crumbles, and buried truths pave the way for the reckoning of those who built their power on lies.

Last Episode: Evil plummets from the heavens in a fiery ball of steel and gasoline—a harbinger of divine wrath, forged in vengeance by she who was betrayed.
